Photoshoot Secrets & Vintage Bridal Styling Tips: Alpacas at weddings are becoming a big thing now! These cute and cuddly wee guys can be booked to come along to your wedding and pose for photos with the happy couple and with guests or they can even play the part of ring bearers. Love and affection literally radiates from these gentle animals and they absolutely love cuddles so they make perfect wedding guests. Aside from being super cute, Alpacas also bring their own spiritual dimension to your wedding day symbolising peace and prosperity in Buddhism and Shinto.
This styled bridal shoot was done as part of an advertising campaign for the wonderful BobCat Alpaca Farm in Edinburgh to advertise their wedding packages, it was shot by the amazing Darja Bilyk. She wanted to go for a dreamy carefree bridal look that would work outdoors on the farm so we chose this gorgeous floaty 1970s bohemian style wedding dress. Crucially, the dress didn’t have a train so we wouldn’t run into any problems with the grass or with the Alpacas! We also styled it with a long 1970s tulle veil to create some extra whimsical drama.
