We’ve been really lucky to get the opportunity to collaborate on so many beautiful styled bridal photoshoots that we really love over the years, but this one is definitely up there amongst our all-time favourites. It’s such an elegant and stylish shoot and it was so much fun to do. And what was even more fun was the fact that our model, hair and makeup artist was none other than our very glamorous and talented colleague and Boutique Manager India!

This shoot allowed us to collaborate again with one of our fabulous friends, the very talented and creative wedding & editorial photographer, Melody Joy Co.  And this time we also shot alongside the very cute ‘Sprinkles’ the pink VW Campervan owned by the lovely Gillian, and available for couples to hire through her company ‘Sprinkled With Love Wedding Hire’ for their wedding transport.

We chose a selection of some of our beautiful, romantic and timeless wedding dresses all dating from the 1950s for this photoshoot.  These styles are all reminiscent of the iconic and glamorous Dior ‘New Look’ style, with their fitted tops, nipped in waists and full skirts and suit big or small weddings in all types of locations, and brides of all ages.

We chose an elegant white lace ballgown style and paired it with a cropped blonde faux fur 1960s jacket for some of the images.  We also chose a super rare pale pink wedding gown with a statement train dating from the very late 1950s/early 1960s, and 2 iconic, short 1950s prom style wedding dresses, one which was made from white and silver lace and one from ivory brocade satin.  And India styled her hair and makeup in a modern and elegant take on vintage styling for each of the looks.

We also decided to take advantage of the beautiful streets on our doorstep and shoot on location around about where our boutiques are based in the historic Stockbridge area of Edinburgh.

We think we’ve created some gorgeous bridal images and we’ve been lucky enough to have some of them published in Scottish wedding magazines, blogs and other Scottish newspapers and magazines.
