Photoshoot Secrets & Vintage Bridal Styling Tips: This is gorgeous vintage bridal editorial photoshoot shot with a fantastic creative team on location in and around our beautiful city of Edinburgh! The concept behind this shoot was that we wanted to photograph our beautiful vintage brides in some of our team’s real brides’ favourite spots for photos on their real wedding days. So from the grandeur of shooting in the City Centre in Princes Street with the world famous Balmoral Hotel in the background, to the Art Galleries on the Mound, to the beauty of Princes Street Gardens with the majesty of Edinburgh Castle in the background and then onto the picturesque architecture and tranquillity of the Dean Village area, these images really highlight the beauty of our city and our stunning brides.
We wanted to style our models in a mix of wedding dress styles from across the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s for this shoot so we chose a very glamorous lace and tulle gown from the late 1950s / early 1960s & and a beautiful classic ballerina length 1950s dress for the city centre locations and then 2 very bohemian style wedding dresses dating from the 1960s & 1970s for the Dean Village locations. Our late 1960s dress has very striking floral lace bishop sleeves and a gorgeous train, and our 1970s dress has a stunning floaty mid length chiffon cape fitted over the dress and they both beautifully highlight wedding dress styles typical of those eras.
Our Hair & Make Up artist created 2 different contemporary styles for each model that bring our vintage dresses to life in a modern fresh way and our florist created 2 absolutely stunning vintage inspired bouquets for our brides.
These bridal looks are fabulously unique and glamorous and suit all ages of brides and all types of weddings.
